Emily Sutton
Emily’s strength in planning and executing strategic marketing campaigns lies not only in her extensive and intimate background with all facets of integrated marketing, but also in her innovative and creative thinking. She specializes in direct marketing, having been one of a team of 12 who started what became within two years the largest direct marketing agency in the world. It was here that database marketing and niche marketing got their start, and have never stopped. Emily’s 25+ years as an entrepreneur have given her an understanding of the challenges of starting up, growing, marketing and managing a successful business, which she uses along with her expertise to benefit her clients. Emily has spent much of her career on the forefront of developing technology, embracing and putting it to use. Starting with owning one of the first Macintosh computers in Illinois, and using it for setting type and creating layouts for clients, she then pushed the disk-to-film capability and finally the disk-to-press capability long before the completely digital environment we have today. Numerous awards have come to Emily in recognition of her outstanding efforts in both marketing and design, but the true rewards are the solid success she has created for clients. She has given seminars and speeches on Direct Marketing and Entrepreneurship at DePaul University, Chicago Association of Direct Marketing Educational Foundation, and Concordia College. Emily lives in the Metro Chicago area with her husband, two children, and dog and enjoys camping, biking, hiking, cooking, stained glass, and gardening. |
