J. Brian Hennessy

Brian is one of the original Maxroixers (…and came up with its name). He has over 25 years of experience in new business development, product and service systems development, theoretical/basic and applied R&D, marketing and sales.

Brian’s energies have been consistently committed to privately held, emergent companies who bring innovation and genuine value and excitement to the marketplace. Typically Brian works from early stage development to the re-generative phase wherein the organization is self-sustaining, and is typically involved in multiple aspects of the organization with the founder(s) and/or executive team. Since 1985, three of organizations he has worked intimately with have gone public.

He has also performed successfully as an advisor to company founders and executives in the re-visioning and re-design of operations, R&D, product development and branding, marketing and sales programs.

Brian began his career working in the family food business at the age of 10 in the Chicagoland area. Steaks’n’Stuff Frozen Foods, Inc. was the first retail food store in the U.S. to bring gourmet restaurant supply products to the retail market.

Brian earned a B.S. from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana and a Masters Degree from Stanford University. Brian has also lectured in the Stanford Graduate School of Business, the Stanford Department of Education, and the Graduate School of Engineering and Design and has performed dozens of professional public speaking and workshop/seminar engagements, both paid and pro-bono, at the national and local levels for business, academic and consumer audiences.
